Electro–stim Pain Relief

AcuHeal NOVA offers both micro-current and macro-current pain relief therapies.

Microcurrent Therapy

AcuHeal NOVA uses microcurrent devices to send weak electrical signals into the body. Such devices apply extremely small (less than 1,000 microampere) electrical currents to nerves using electrodes placed on the skin. Microcurrent device uses include treatments for age-related macular degeneration, wound healing, tendon repair, and ruptured ligament recovery. Most of the treatments concentrate on speeding healing and recovery.

Trigger-Point Acupuncture

An innovative merging of Eastern and Western traditions, trigger-point acupuncture treats “Ashi” (pain) points on the body to effectively reduce or eliminate particular kinds of pain. This is especially effective for muscular soreness.

TDP Mineral Lamp Therapy

The TDP mineral lamp is a medical device which comes under FDA Class II as a far-infrared heating device. The premise of the lamp is that the far infrared (below visible light) emissions increases microcirculation and loosens fascia to accelerate the natural healing processes of the body. The TDP mineral lamp is a therapeutic substitute for moxabustion, and is reported to be the only mechanical device that can add Qi to the body.

Moxabustion

A form of relaxing and gentle heat treatment in which the Chinese Herb Ai Ye is applied to the body or to the needles.

Cupping Therapy

A therapy using a glass jar on the skin’s surface to promote the free flow of Qi in the body.

Applied Kinesiology

Applied kinesiology, or muscle testing, has proven itself a valid, effective diagnostic tool; we use it at AcuHeal NOVA as necessary to help identify root cause issues to be treated in our patients.

Energy Healing

Our practitioners are attuned to offer the highest grade of Reiki and Seichim energy healing. These relaxing treatments are yet another gentle, non-invasive therapy option.
